The rear stand came with the bike, the front stand was an accessory, and an expensive one at that. I managed to find a fella on eBay in France who had a load of new ones. Don't think I paid much more than £100 for it a few years back. Handy for working on the bike and cleaning it.
My wife is a chief and I have 1198R corse in my kitchen. How about I start to sell dinners in my house for £200 odd? You can eat while sitting on/ looking at my bike?
Innocent m'lud ..... i never had slicks and all that wanky bollox until a long time after my expulsion from the club, i was never 'the establishment' .....
This one. Raced for half a season in 2016 where it achieved a 3rd place in a national championship race.
I’ll give me tuppence worth. In 1993 Ducati produced 101 SP4’s (SPS) for Superbike homologation purposes. These were provided to privateers and factory riders competing in the series. I won’t go into the technical merits of these bikes but we all know the success they achieved. Most were crashed or broken for parts. Tony Reading in Australia has compiled a pretty thorough list of remaining bikes. He has found 34/35 bikes still on the road. Therefore 101 bikes to start with 35 max remaining makes them pretty rare and v valuable. I should know I own one. Also, of the value of the 70’s 750ss, of which about 350 remain is now in the £140,000 region. What will the SPS be in 20 years! Something to ponder.
