  1. This Is Going To Hurt. iPlayer. Based on the book by Adam Kay, but 'woke' for TV. Still as good as the book, maybe even better in some ways.

  7. It’s an epic film, it’s now rumoured he’ll make a 3rd Dune film. Oh the original film hasn’t aged well at all.

I’d go as far as saying the best film I’ve watched ever, if I can get to see it in IMAX which hopefully it be shown just before Dune 2 or a package of both that’d be great. :)

  14. The Farthest: Voyager’s interstellar journey. An episode of Storyville on BBC iPlayer.

Documentary covering the two Voyager missions and the 70’s boffins who dreamt it up and made it happen, incredible considering the limited hardware and computing power available back in the 70’s.

It’s a few years old, 2017 I think, as both missions have now left the solar system and are in interstellar space, but still fascinating.

  15. A thoroughly good book and the sequel, the adaptation is as good as the book. Even allowing for the little deviation from the book here and there.

  16. That’s why it’s better to be late to the party sometimes. :) He knocks Stars Wars into touch, that’s seriously gone down hill since the first 3 film releases.

  18. Cosmos - On Prime, IIRC.

Oh dear. 3 geeky types in an estate car for two hours for...astronomy and Oh so more. This film just doesn't know what it is. Alien Sci-fi? Check. Astronomy geeky film? Check. Angst ridden bromance? Check. "Bourne..." like fast action packed thriller? Check. And on and on and on....

Talk about identify crisis; more like identity theft! This film is trying to be three films in one and fails miserably in not getting one thing right.

AVOID! Go for a prostate examination with full digital intrusion to avoid kind of avoid.

One confused, genre-leaping directionless director out of five.

  19. Started to watch this earlier then got distracted by something else, I’ll try again tomorrow. High winds mean not working again.:)

  20. Based (roughly) on The Odyssey...:bucktooth:
