just watched Dumb Money, really good, particularly if you like rooting for the little guy, based on a true "stocks and shares" story that happened during Covid. "Certainly fits in well with this Forum's ethics" someone said to me earlier.
The ‘Man’ likes his club to be exclusive and not be have it ruined by peasants trying to better their lives by sticking it to the ‘Man’.
Just watched the whole first series of 'Kin' on iplayer, about rival crime families in Dublin, good earthy stuff from Ciaran Hinds, Aiden Gillen et al - and looking forward to S2 with anticipation
Happy on a Netflix. I liked e1, missus didn’t. Ex-cop turned assassin is harassed by a purple unicorn animated character trying to convince him to look for a little girl that’s missing. It’s as surreal as it sounds..mixed with some decent violence and action…
just watched "Old Dads" certainly had some moments but overall gets an "ok". Nice to see Bruce Dern briefly.
Started watching S1 of 'Versailles' on Beeb iplayer, excellent acting, sumptuous sets and a good plot, most of my watching is on streaming /catchup nowadays...the drivel shown on bbc/itv etc is shite...altho i have been enjoying Attenborough on a Sunday evening.
Finished S1 Happy. It’s what happens when someone mixes John And pick with Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Gets a bit dark. Has moments of genuine hilarity mixed in with some real hardcore violence. The unicorn is wonderfully positive and voiced perfectly. Now started S2 and it gets even more surreal….
Finished watching Boat Story earlier. Was very enjoyable. We’re also watching The Couple Next Door (on telly, not in real life)
Maybe a bit late to let people know but there is a film on Film4 at 1:25am, 90 minutes from time of posting, called Capernaum that is well worth watching.
Get me out of here,, probably like most folk in the UK i tuned in for the first two series i think for memory and never watched another one until now, apart from seeing how King Carl Fogarty was doing on the odd occasion. Stepping outside your comfort zone is also a good thing in life, but for me i'd have failed many trails as i don't like snakes or rats.!
The only thing i've taken from all the programmes after the occasional watch is...... ..it might be you...
