  1. We’re going to binge the rest of After the Flood now. Then I want to finish Brian & Charles.

  2. Fool me once. Not too bad. Few twists which was nice just a shame the cow character was lacking for me. The guy who plays detective did good job although his oppo was poorly portrayed imho

  3. Who was the ‘cow character’ ?

  7. The 1986 movie Ferris Bueller's day off, with that gorgeus Ferrari GT250, still a fun movie after all these years, then onto Flag Day with Sean Penn, son & daugther. If you don't like Sean then your in trouble, but i think he's up there with all the great actors from the past three decades.
All about Fu#cked up parents which's passed on to the kids, mainly Sean's character. With some good back ground tunes playing.

  11. Loudermouth on Netflix. Dark comedy. No laughter track is always a good start!

  12. Prisoners of War.

It's an Israeli drama series (Hebrew and Arabic with English subtitles) about 3 kidnapped IDF soldiers who return home (well, 2 of them do) after 17 years in Hezbollah captivity. At first it is a fairly straightforward story about how deeply traumatised people cope with PTSD and the difficulties of trying to slot back into society after an extended time away from it, but it gradually turns into a tale of intrigue, divided loyalties and the dark arts practised by the intelligence services.

The acting is superb and it's full of really interesting ideas.

    8/10

  13. We're half way though the 2nd series of this. Enjoying it, especially the bits that explore the fringes of political correctness which is refreshing.

  14. Looking forward to the start of "Masters of the Air" tomorrow on Apple TV. Maybe it's going to be something of a blinkered view of the American's contribution to the air campaign against Germany in WW2. But if Band of Brothers and The Pacific is anything to go by will be a good story with a level historical relevance, albeit dramatized.

  15. The drummer in series 1….. it’s very Gervais in its way it addresses some pretty dark and difficult subjects of the human condition

  16. I watched Amsterdam last night. On my own, as the mrs doesn’t like violence, annoyingly the only bit was in the first 10 or so minutes, so she missed a cracking film.

  17. Isn't it loudermilk, anyway, I'm watching that and quite enjoying it
