  2. Flicking around last night and enjoyed the second part of Joan plus did see that GBNEWS had a party in Birmingham that was rocking, The reform party & GBnews are the only ones with a pulse these days, the rest are dinosaurs.

  3. Started watching 'The gentlemen' on Netflix, but got a bit bored with it half way thru so switched to 'Gangs of London' instead, f@cking hell its brutal.. but riveting and addictive, if you don't mind excessive gratuitous violence then give it a watch but make sure your young kids aint sneaking a peak behind your back.:upyeah:

  4. Watched the first Joan, didn’t grab me even with the 80’s references. So watched YouTube in my iPad while Mrs watched it last night

  5. I’m really enjoying ‘Those About to Die’ a TV series inspired by Daniel P Mannix book of almost the same name (For Those About to Die - a gripping read in itself). It’s based on the life of a Gladiator & the gambling around his career & the horse racing in Circus Maximus.
Decent sets, direction, CGI and British actors make this 10 part series rather compelling IMV. Recommended - for
Brits who like things Italian. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10569934/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

  6. Colin Farrell's acting turned a corner when he appeared in a series of True Detective. The Penguin is a great series, both his acting and the make up are superb.
He wears silly hair bands in interviews though...

  7. Four in a row for me on BBC Four last night with the first one with Clarkson on the military blunder PQ Atlantic Convoy, but the captain with his Sunday Times Atlas chartered the waters like a professional shipman.
Next the Hunt For Lady Olive and the german submarine U18, confirming the LO did in fact wound the sub based when they found on the seabed.
Next Philip Glenister speaks with Mattrew Graham remember Life On Mars when they filmed it back in the day for the TV series, followed by the first LOM sereis.

  8. Nightspeeper on iplayer. It’s more full of holes and false drama and seems all of gchq is run by about 6 operatives…and the woman in change is flakey. Shame they’ve chosen to write it like that again. Watchable

  9. The sinking of a superyacht last night; how safe is your voyage.? 5 out of the 6 members left onboard the Bayesian yacht were starved of oxygen.
Take a leaf out of the Rats book of survival and leave immediately................

  10. Sugar on apple. Very old school yank PI thing, some nice (and odd) visuals with lots of narrative. Two in, not bad.

    Harrowing stuff.

  13. Not really my thing these days but had a few days off this week and it was raining so sat here and watched Joe root and Harry brook break all sorts of records out in Pakistan. Hugely impressive.

  14. 47-facts-about-the-movie-l-a-confidential-1687402237.jpeg I never get tired of this movie, guess the year.

  15. Sweet pea, Now and Sky.
Rhiannon Lewis doesn't make much of an impression - people walk past her in the street without a second glance. That is until she is pushed over the edge and loses control, and Rhiannon's life transforms.
Watched this after a few pints and seemed quite good. Not sure I’d class it as a comedy though

  16. In which case you’ll like Sugar, it’s almost a homage in some ways.

Watched last one last night. Few unexpected, but work, twists and turns and FINALLY a series that actually wraps with an ending….

  17. Also finished Bad Monkey. And another with a finish rather than all this open ended shit like gentleman in Moscow and almost every series recently. I enjoyed it.

  18. New series of portrait artist of the year.
Richard madeley was one of the sitters last night and I can’t think of anyone else who comes as close to the living embodiment of Alan partridge as he is. An absolute cock of a man and probably the only person who could take some of the sine off a truly wonderful bit of tv.
Looking forward to the remainder of the series with him a distant memory.
