What Backpacks Do You Use

  1. Another Kriega R25 fan here. Can be worn all day without any discomfort, you forget it's there. Tough, well designed, waterproof and British!

  2. I alternate between the carbon look Ogio in the original post and a Kriega R25.

The Ogio is a great bag. It looks superb and is well made, far better than I expected for an Italian product. Mine is in very good nick after 2 years of commuting use. The straps are wide and comfortable, it has a natty red interior with loops for shoes, 3 dividers, mesh pockets, etc and even a visor holder. It will take my work suit and shoes plus laptop, AC adapter, etc and is properly waterproof. The bag is expandable at the rear. As for cons, the rear zip is somewhat impractical but sensible for waterproofing there is no snazzy load-balancing harness and obviously no external pockets.

The R25 is pretty good, the harness probably the best thing. There is a thin divider inside which I guess is made to take a back protector insert but it does have exterior pockets. I use it more as a grab and go when picking up groceries or takeaways because I don't trust it to keep my computer dry. Mine has leaked in the rain and the bag is quite heavy with nothing in it. I'm not into the usual dick-sucking for Kriega that goes on on forums, the products do have their flaws and very pricy. I think Oxford have now made a similar harness so there is no real USP on what are rather old designs.

    For me, the OGIO wins.
