What bike does your partner ride ?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Android853sp, Jan 29, 2014.

  1. My excuse is not having £14,000 lying around in a bank account waiting to be spent on bikes! It would be a lot of money for a second bike.

If my numbers come up on the Premium Bonds, I'd go out and buy a Diavel.

  3. ugh , second dumbest animal in the world , and the answer to your next question is " anything that gets on top of one "

  4. Sarah had a go on the Get On thingy at the nec a few years back. That is the closest she's ever come to riding. She came away from that and just said, errr no.

  5. SWMBO was scares shitless by an ex boyfriend years ago when he took her pillion and missed a corner on a country road and ended up in a farmers field.

She is cool with me going out on my own though :upyeah:

  6. Mine started making noises about getting her bike license and a nice new GN250 was procured to do this ..... But watching her ride scared the shit outa me , to busy worrying about gears and levers an stuff to pay any attention to the surroundings , And I really felt that I would be going to either her funeral or the ICU , so we had a wee talk and it transpired that she only wanted to ride because she thought it would make me happy ..... so she is in the best place .... on the back of mine again , soaking up horse power and ruining handling ( you'd think they would want to sit still 1/2 round a corner ) , But her arse looks better than mine ( apparently ) from behind.... stops all the young guys from wanting to pass me

  7. Ex husband rode Harley's .... Couldn't stand all that went with it and the oooops there's a cloud I can't go out. In that !!!

I got hell for owning jap bikes.
    So got shot of him...

Most of my few exes have ridden old Suzukis which I have a soft spot for and I own one of these which is in bits that needs rebuilding. An old Gs550.

Tried living with a non biker .. It doesn't work for me.
Has to be someone that understands my need to have stuff everywhere !!!
Also how understands my attachment to my lumps of metal :)
That the mini moto lives in the front room... And the Ali parts live in my bedroom.. If not naff off I'd rather be alone :)
My fav bike other then my own is owned by a chap .. A Ducati of course , liked monsters but was that bike that sealed I needed a little monster and now I love my two and would never look back.

The only bike other then my own I really miss .. And I can pick out it's engine noise from other monsters :)
I'd be devastated if I heard that bike has been stolen or wrecked as much as my own bike.

  8. I divorced my first wife after she told me to get rid of my bike.

I was at my divorce settlement ten years ago, when I announced I would like to make a suggestion.

They agreed, so, I told them, "She can have the car, the house, all the funds in our joint account and full custody of our children on one condition... I get to keep whatever I have in my pocket."

"It's a deal," my wife said, with a smug look on her face.

"You obviously didn't check the lottery numbers last night, did you?"

  12. None, never been interested in bikes doesn't even want to ride on the back, which means I can have single-seaters. :upyeah:

  13. Caterham used to be one of my old stamping grounds. In those days the 407 was double decker.Interested to know where the picture was taken-not Croydon by any chance?

  14. Mrs Vegetable Trousers has a Monster 695.
Here we are in Chimay for the classic racing last year. I am doing my bestest bad-ass biker "are you lookin at my Ol' Lady" routine...

  15. Thats West Croydon Bus Station.

  16. Thanks Bootsam.I used to catch the 'ghost train' as it was called from West Croydon rail station to Wimbledon.I have heard that West Croydon is not a place to visit after dark these days due to a gang culture in the area.
Do you know Croydon well?Quite interested as I havn't been there for many years.Used to be another one of my local stamping grounds.I lived at Purley Oaks.

  17. Yep, reasonably. Been around the area for 15yrs or so. Lived in S.Croydon and E.Croydon for a while. I will not even go to W.Croydon during daylight hours. Its a shit hole. Even when compared to Croydon which in itself is a shit hole. I live in Caterham now which is okay(ish). It has good transport links and is bang on J6 M25. Other than that its just like any other town.

My stomping ground I class as Woowich/Plumstead/Eltham and SE.London in General.

  18. My mates wife has just asked me to take her for a ride, i'm assuming she means on the bike...
