I've always wanted one of the original Daytona 675R's (with the underseat exhaust), not sure why, think they look stunning. Who knows, one day I may buy one, but trying to find one in the right spec isn't easy...
Yeah they are a small, I've had a few Daytona's in my time, loved them all, but I missed out on one of these
Godin egli-vincent, Hyde harrier trident, rc30, moto-martin 1000 (6-cyl), moto-guzzi mgs-01, desmosedici d16rr, mv Agusta f4 1000 rc - to name but a few of the bikes I wish I'd bought when I had the opportunity. And then there's the unreachable like MV-Agusta 750s America - sigh
I saw an Egli-Vincent project today when out buying bits for my 'other bike' build. Doubt I'll see another... He also had a couple of WIP 851s and an 888. Drool.....
absolutely stunning bikes, just can’t say enough good things about them, I really can’t . Guess the corner…..
Always wanted an MV. When the superveloce came out loved the idea of it, came close to getting one without actually seeing it - but when I saw it just didnt have the wow I expected so glad I didnt. But, while there they had a F3 800 RC which is still on my one day list as a track toy
At a bit of a loss as to why they never developed it as a road bike (apart from money at the time I suppose). I imagine they would have sold quite a few if they had!
I think the only similar looking bike from Moto Guzzi at that time was the Griso, and only similar looking in the loosest way. Ghezzi-Brain made some similar great looking bikes I think, but not sure how many were made, but don't think it was volume production...and equally unobtainable!
Is this what you were thinking of? https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/moto-guzzi/1200-sport/2008/
