What chain lube?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Tel, Jul 9, 2013.

  1. S Doc 100 chain cleaner and S Doc 100 white chain spray here. can't fault it.

  2. I've always used Castro racing lube and never had a problem.

Cover any paint work with a rag, rotate the wheel on a paddock stand and spray onto the inside of the chain! Always worked for me

  3. As above using paraffin, for the last year or so switched to castrol racing chain lube, seems the best to me,very little fling, chain has not needed adjusting in about 3500 miles, easy to clean off, does not become pasty and attract dust n dirt, all a matter of opinion but that's the one for me now.

  4. I thought you took the chain off and cooked it in a chain tin on mum's old Belling

  5. Got to do my chain tonight. It's been neglected :frown:

  6. I use a Scottoiler but I'm in rehab and I'm making progress.

  7. I used Putoline stuff and brushed it in with an old toothbrush. Worked a treat and the chain looks new and loved again :upyeah:

  8. I just ordered 24 tins of the 500ml Wurth dry chain lube.

  9. That's a lot of lube!

  10. It's cheaper than KY

  11. LOL, I have an account with wurth and my mates all want some. I would offer it to you guys but the postage will kill it as you can buy it online for £9.75 delivered!

  12. I can't believe it's not butter.
