After taking the genuine Ducati crash bars back to riders as they don't fit (It's a frame/chassis number thing) I have just had a set of crashbars delivered from Moto-Activ in Germany. Ordered Saturday, dispatched Monday, arrived today. Cheaper than buying them in the UK (By £20) and delivered free. I'd recommend them
Out of interest how much (ballpark) were the crash bungs fella? any reason why you opted for these over say R&G?
I went for engine protection bars over crash bungs. I've had a set of RGs dig in and write a bike frame off before now so I'll never fit them again or any type of crash bung. *Just realised that was probably aimed at Spareparts, wasn't it LOL.
£25 for all 3 on eBay The lure of some brand new DP ones for less than the cost of just 1 set of R&G was too much to resist! In terms of performance, I hope to never have to use them, and trust that the DP ones work as they should. As an asides, I have R&G fork protectors on the Monster, and they use a stainless bar to connect the protectors through the forks: a design that adds additional unsprung weight, whereas the DP ones do not use the stainless bar.
Valve cover gaskets for the 888 as front pots ex valve cover has a slight leak , not sure the new ones will sort it as they are now pressed alloy and not the fibre gaskets of old, hope the gasket faces are good or its instant gasket time :/ Ordered Oil screen filter and Thermister to add the oil temp gauge to my Superlight - so I can worry myself at the ridiculous oil temps it does or doesnt reach- maybe ignorance will be bliss. the exciting stuff of ducati ownership...
2 - DL2032 Lithium - 3 volt batteries. One to fit the remote key fob on the MTS1200 as the dash keeps saying the key is missing when it's still in my pocket, the other to keep under the seat on the bike for when it happens again.
Repost as pics were not working from my previous post. Recent purchases: Blue daylight running led lights. Acerbis led hand guards Ultimate addons iPhone 4s powered waterproof mount. PZ Racing plug and play Gear Indicator. Plus : Clear lenses for rear indicators and headlight, heated grips by R&G and a 14T front sprocket but don't have big enough spanner to do the job yet. Pete
