What did you just buy for your bike?

Stomp grips...again. Lost the originals when the tank was painted :frown:

 

I've no idea mate, I got it used of ebay.
If I get on with it I'll prob get the blue swapped for green.

 

When did it go to Switzerland? Can't have been very long ago. Or is thus just almost OCD preparation?

 

About 5 weeks ago - I went through 8 Countries in 4 days for charity, up to 700 miles a day!! Awesome trip and would do it again tomorrow!

I have decided not to buy a motorway sticker this year. I've bought one for the car and I can't use both bike and car at the same time, so I don't really see why I should pay double. Also, I always stick the sticker inside the bubble. Now that the screen is smoked, it's pretty much invisible - so why bother? I think the fine for not having one is CHF 100 and it costs CHF 40 or something, so hey.

Could be that with foreign plates you are "encouraged" to purchase a sticker at customs posts - especially if you are entering on a motorway, such as in Basel or Geneva. You can barely say that "you don't use motorways" in this instance. But you can if you enter on a normal road.

I was looking at that on ebay too. What make is it as it did not say on the listing. Is it a sargent?
I don't think it would cost much to get the flag changed.

 

Thinking of getting some of those stomp grips too as my leathers are marking the tank.

 

I managed to cram my luggage into a backpack (1 pair of shorts and a t-shirt in a foot of snow on the Stelvio wasn't fun!) but for alot of the journey I was able to throw it into the support car.

We ended up entering on a motorway, so couldn't really say no! What an amazing trip though - I have got to say Switzerland was one of the highlights! They even had a service station with goats!! :biggrin:

I still don't know what make it is... May even be an original recovered and restuffed, but the underside looks too neat for that IMO, so could be a sargent, nearest looking one.
Much kinder on the ole backside and a whole lot less heat!

 

I hate the look of stop grips, but no denying the benefits...My poor blue balls thanked me for them...

 

After much searching I managed to find some crash bobbins that protect the fairing and don't require you to deface the fairing. Even though the instructions were in German it was still easy and almost problem free.

 

brake upgrade on my 996, brembo radial 19x20 , P4 4 pad calipers, new sintered pads, new bike torque racing lines, gbmoto banjo bolt switch, wow what a difference, mega braking, happy days ; )

 

Stompgrips.Fit them this weekend.

 

Now go and buy a remote adjuster for that Brembo front master cylinder :wink:
