so is it just the wheels that are Ti and the threaded rods stainless ?? or are there rods that fit the holes to adjust ??
The wheels and the threaded rod are machined titanium, the rods that you stick into the holes to wind the adjusters in or out are made of stainless. (Should have explained that better first time).
Well, been a bit busy on the old shopping front this weekend. Just bought a new paddock stand, some EBC HH pads all around, Dot 4 fluid, oil + filter, belts, spark plugs, fuel filter, single seat conversion, some carbon wrap and a contour hero action camera. Should keep me busy for a few days fitting that lot & servicing the bike. Just hope the missus dont find out what it all cost! eeeek!
ECU reflash (thanks ChrisW) and some comm cables to chat to ecu. DQS to be fitted this weekend. Will do write up.
I draw the line at sandals. Sandals are never exciting. In fact, sandals are a sartorial faux pas!
If the aforementioned sandals are combined with ankle socks, then the individual(s) should be taken to a quiet place and shot humanely. We need to cleanse our gene pool from such horrors.
Just got sticker set from The Image Works. Graham - top bloke, exactly what I needed and quick service. 0115 944 3111 or [email protected] This is the damaged section. Image Works had the large red to black background sticker too....lots of others didn't. Pick up from re-spray today, stickers on by the weekend. Pride and joy restored. Oh and plug for Wes and Matt at painttechnics [email protected] Located near Lincoln. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. I believe they can weld plastics, but best check. Mine was a fill and respray. They don't do the intricate stuff/coachlining/applying the stickers etc., but ideal for the paint bit of my respray and re-sticker job.
Thanks to Premier Motorcycles of Didcot - a KTM dealer - for installing my battery. Why would you need a dealer to put in a battery? Because the 3 bolts holding in the old one are all too tight and I don't have any suitable tools away from home. Didcot is a tedious, grim little town and famously (and justifiably) figures in the first "Crap Towns" book. Its only redeeming features are Didcot Railway Centre, where you can see steam trains, and, in a strange sort of ironic post-modern vein, Didcot Power Station. Well now there's a decent bike shop. I hear it's been there for the past 15 years, but I never knew about it. Seems to be a bit of an Ali Baba's cave of goodies and they had a couple of nice-looking 1098s for sale (very snazzy stickered-up blue and white one particularly).
