Well, with respect an all that but he must be touched by a bit of Ginger! Cause how could he leave out Kylie Minogue's Bum... ? I don’t need a degree to know Just how beautiful her lines are.. X
Nothing wrong with them? well try the cast iron block and the aluminium head.. Add a little heat to the 2 above and see what happens ... X
My Imp boiled up on the short twenty mile journey back home after purchase. Must have laughed their socks off. Interesting mis matched brake shoes, metal patches with black pitch on underside...mot...really, how? Halfords did well out of that one, several tonnes of filler and rattle cans invested in that one. Went fairly well though once sorted. Max speed around sixty. Not maximum engine would do, just no roads wide enough for the severe swerve that started when approaching sixty
My dad bought an Imp for me Mom, he bought a spare engine. He could swap an engine over in an evening so we’ll practised he became. Think the engines were used in fork lift trucks, Coventry Climax rings a bell think they built the engines sold on to BMC.
its a Suzuki sc100 (whizkid) had one as a first car think they were made early 80s rear engine shit brakes handled shite but it was cool
imps rocked, two head gaskets sorted it. every man and his dog had one round my way. they where made just along the road. originally over tuned, when on their first road test all three came of on the same corner on the Glenifir Breas.
Just about to take this ugly car for a run. Never spotted those imperfections/ design errors before. Let me check them out...
Imps were made in Scotland, I never knew any of the British car industry had plants so far North. You can learn something new everyday.
He needs to keep stum about that period of his life, my mate does from his time at certain car companies. Although he has the chittier design briefs like winding mechanism for side windows and all manner of unseen design work.
