Well I have a 2012 S. colour is Black, prefer it to any other colours in the range tbh I've fitted the following so far :- 1. Full Termi system 2. Carbon front fender 3. Carbon tail tidy 4. Evotech rad & oil guards 5. Venture shield 6. Motografix front no board 7. Heated grips 8. Pazzo's levers (long) 9. SW Motech Evo tank bag 10. MRA X Screen 11. Front cylinder guard 12. Rizoma water pump protector 13. Ventura bag 14. Repainted wheels to Gold from black 15. R&G Bar Ends and front wheel protectors. 16. Michelin PR3's (2nd set). 17. Ohlins upgraded suspension ECU for 2010 - 2012 models only (you won't need this on a 2013 model) Probably 2 or 3 other things that I'd like to do, but not got round to it yet.
Has anyone got any experience of this kit form tuneboy for cruise control TuneBoy - Engine Management Systems
I love the look of the standard exhaust too. The short termi looks good too but the performance-enhancing full termi is just ugly IMHO
You might want to consider water and oil radiator guards and a stainless steel guard for the front cylinder head/spark plug. It looks pretty exposed to me so I bought one.
Your entitled to your opinion of course, but You must be looking at the Termi with your eyes closed. The ugly Cows udder that comes with the standard exhausts, is quite heavy and cumbersome. Straight through exhaust makes it far better for the engine to breath, whilst sounding the dogs bo11ock5 too.
Will probably look radiator guards and other like you suggest. I've got to agree with triple I do think the full termi is slightly too long and spoils the look a little but I still would for the sound and power. Where is the best place to buy the guards
Well it can always be shortened if you so wish. Best place for the guards Is Evotech Performance (Google it).
Personally, I can not look at a standard exhaust without thinking about the fat catalytic converter under the engine which makes me think aaarghh, throw it away.
Have you done anything to stop the Termi melting your number plate? Mine is being fitted on the 10th August, so I've stuck metal foil tape to the rear of my plate....not sure if that will be enough though.
My fuel avg consumption improved which I expected as a full termi is less restrictive on gas flow, however this is not conclusive because I fitted at about 1,000 miles so the improvement may be because of the engine running in.
I have installed the carbon tail tidy, which lifts the number plate slightly higher and away from the standard unit so the exhaust has a little room. I don't like big mirrors on the back of bikes. The 7x7 should work ok and the no's themselfs are pronounced enough not to worry the boys the blue. Just remember its not the size of no. plate that matters too much, but the spaces between the letters and the letter & no sizes.
Just ordered a 7 X 7 with legal letter and number sizing. Apparently the carbon tail tidy doesn't work with panniers, and as I'll also use mine touring, that's no good for me. cheers for the information
