  1. a significant field or two?

  2. One had a Roman settlement on it, the other is a WW2 airfield.

But the house itself featured in an early 70s sort of cult film.

    The Arquebus Hacksaw Massacre

  3. Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's house.

My brother lives about two doors away from David Cameron. He once found himself telling the PM to fuck off when the tractor he was driving was harassed by an impatient Prime Ministerial Jag on the narrow lanes. Apologies ensued and my brother has received a Christmas card from the Camerons every year since.

  4. I have heard you called a cult before.............i think thats what they said...:upyeah:;)

  5. Can't your brother borrow a decent Barratt 0.50?

  6. We heard you the first time!

  7. You have only just left school haven't you?

Must be the case because that joke is so old, you probably hadn't heard it before.

  8. Heathrow airport?

  9. Bletchley park
    The Point MK
The youngest listed building in the uk (the centre MK)
    Concrete cows
The oldest pub in the UK

All part of the wonderful dynamic new city that is Milton Keynes :)

  10. which is the oldest pub?

  11. In a historic Roman city during the week, and in a Moldy welsh market town at the weekend.

  12. Bristol - suspension bridge, SS great Britain, the most ridiculous cycle tracks ever. I live on the outskirts....Harcliffe must be really popular as I always see helicopters heading that way most nights....

My neighbour over the road from said it nicely...."we were looking to downsize, looked around and couldn't find a road better to live in" - so they bought the house next door to us which has been empty for 18months or so....I think he got the keys last Friday and by Monday turned the back garden into Hiroshima...let loads of light in ours now though.!

  13. Expect a knock on the door, very soon ;)

  14. When the Camerons bought this particular house he was only leader of the Conservative Party not the PM and security wasn't as tight. Now there is a fully kitted out but discreet (you'd never know what it was if you walked past) security building in the garden and a 24 hour guard. Back then all they had was two security guards working shifts sitting in a car in the road outside the house. Opposite the Cameron's house are some cottages. The occupant of one of them parks his Landrover in the road. One day he came home, parked directly in front of the security guards as usual and went indoors. When he came out again later that day the Landrover had been stolen..:)
