Kayaking or coxless fours might be the best groups to be in. Why oh why do they not have this event in the proper summer months?
well it was wet, there was one red flag I think all day and that was on the last lap of the morning fast grip session in the wet on full wets if it had been dry, I think I would have been raped by guys on clicks with lots of ground clearance, and the last session I struggled more with keeping up and got passed a bit more but was dragging my toes and pegs into most corners But...inters would have done my head in I think!! So fast was the right group either way
Inters was a bit of a mixed bag. Having been in the inters group for a long time I took the step into the fast/advanced group this year and haven`t looked back. I went out on AK`s 1098RS for a quick test following some spannering and there some very unpredictable riding going on  TBH Transponder days are the way forward IMHO
Inters is always solid packed..... Some guys are quick enough for group 3 but feel intimidated about going up to group 3. Some are too slow but feel they are far too good for group 1. Some like overtaking other bikes to feel good I guess. I got pissed off with getting tangled behind bunches of traffic in group 2 so jumped up to group 3 and like yourself, have never looked back. I get much more clear track time. Sure, some of the fast boys come past me like I'm stood still but that's fine by me, I aint no pro racer. And I agree that the transponder system is the way forward.
I go into the inters. I've found that I brake too early, but carry a fair amount of corner speed, mainly as I'm accelerating through the corner. I often get done into corners, but make up all the ground on em on the way out.
