Ex,Well that's the forums initiation programme out of the way & i'll never be the same ever again with that image floating around my head
Is there an offical thread for the BBQ to celebrate my aniversary without my Mrs? (can't find one) I did invite her but she said the window cleaner was coming round or something. Sorry Brettski I meant your BBQ... I need to make sure we are all agreed at what time this kicks off, purely from a what time is food served perspective. I don't want to get there and find out stock is low. I don't know if I should ride or bring the food transporter... I think CR is going? He doesn't look like he eats much. Chiz are you bringing the chicken... who's in charge of cooking? These things keep me up at night. On topic, It annoys me when people take threads off topic.. sometimes.
This annoys moi. Moving, by dragging, a 4m tower a few cm at a time on me Jack Jones just to oil a tiny section of green oak beam. The beams get in the way of the tower, arrghhhhh.
the guys putting the rubber stuff on the ceiling above the pool on my current site are having similar problems
Looks like the little tower has wheels though; luxury, shear luxury that. Other pain is removing top level of tower to drag it under middle A frames. Meh.
Those oak frame buildings look the business everytime, make sure you get that swim before you leave site
Yea, the one poolside does but unlucky for them , they have to pretty much dismantle and reassemble each move because of the pitch of roof/beam hights. They also have to build a platform in the pool due to the slope , I did suggest just winding the feet out on one end but it fell on deaf ears, so part of it is self inflicted... Still a shitty job.
300k for the beam work an roof!! Pool with tiling an all the pumps, plumbing , climate control and what not 250k plus glazing and what not ( not sure the price on that) ... Money well spent eh?
No not really as i've been sightseeing down the southcoast recently & you can buy a property for that kind of money.
On the subject of this job, the client got under my skin today, complaining that 3 of his 500 flats in London were broken into last night... He showed me a pic of the damaged external door/frame ( the main entrance to a block of 10 flats in Brixton) and it appears to be a cheap arse door blank in a sort wood frame with a night latch only.. Apperently it's not worth spending money on better security as it just cost more in repairs....
Tbh it is a bit of a work of art and if I had the money I might treat myself... On the other hand it's a bit disgusting that so much wealth is in the hands of so few and his pool house alone could pay for 5 family homes in a not to bad area.. I don't know what to think at times... But hey, it's just a job, pays not to think to much!!!
