  1. Nice n loud. :upyeah:

  2. There's lyrics?

Having grown up listening to Jon Anderson, I usually think of vocals as an extra instrument rather than a sequence of words

  3. Having grown up listening to Jon Anderson, that's a very sensible viewpoint.

But even at the time in the hippy 70s, it was already annoying to have "sound poems". But then even Yes take the piss out of themselves now for their ridiculous and pretentious use of capes as stage garb.

A decent lyricist manages to make harmonious sounds whilst simultaneously conveying ideas and emotions of great import.
So that excludes most people, then.

  4. Glidd, you're not even a "teeny bit cosmic", are you?

I also like lyrics that chill the fuck out of me.

  6. When Keys to Ascension came out and people started listening to That, That Is, some of the wags on the Yes newsgroup started to refer to Anderson's "Scholarly discussion of today's society's troubles" and such. The irony was hilarious.

Bah. You had to be there.

  7. Awaken - ahh, a little bit meh.

I always preferred Almost Like Love but then, I don't care who I offend

  8. Prince, sign of the times tour on sky arts.

  9. Thanks Loz, forgotten all about this little gem
