That song could only have been penned in the USA. Listening to the radio driving about in Florida, there were about 10 channels of that stuff, 10 channels of rap and another 10 of what is now laughingly called R&B. Just nothing to listen to at all.
The Jam album, The Gift... Paul Weller's songwriting and lyrics were amazing when he was an angry yoof!

Prairie Wind my fave of his later albums(that I've heard), and the ltd ed DVD is inspiring. Love Mirrorball, great driving music. I finally got Jake Bugg on vinyl so playing that to death.
