It's French night tonight, my bro'-in-law sent me some Gallic tunes to review. Some decent nuggets have turned up, too.
That is a good album - my favourite Zappa album. I am listening to One Sentence. Supervisor - a Swiss German band. I do some translation for their record label's website and get paid in CDs. This Heavy Sea - their latest offering - is brilliant; can't stop listening to it. And I feel all important because I have an advanced copy - it's only released on April 19th. Too bad I'll be in Blighty when they play Geneva on April 11th. Typical
I will give them a go at some point ^ Hot Rats is often the only Zappa album bought by music buffs as it probably remains the most accessible. I bought on first release so it's quite special to revisit all this time later. Jean-Luc Ponty next
Been listening to delta machine - depeche mode, IAMX - kingdom of welcome addiction and Covenant - Northern Light
We've got Depeche Mode too at the moment. It's either that or Neil Young. Don't get me wrong, I like both (although infinitely prefer Neil Young). But it does seem a pity to only listen to 2 bands when we have a couple of hundred CDs we could be listening to. Some things just aren't worth arguing about.
But in my defence I am having to play it for my one year old grandson this morning to keep him amused. He does all the actions too.
