It a great song but I prefer this one from the same gig. The happiness of everyone playing makes the song really powerful, or is it the other way around?

That of course all depends on if you're straight on the night or something has been shoved up your nose.

 

True, but to fuel all those noses in the strings & wind section, in addition to the band would be very costly. Still, I looked up other live versions of Weller performing that song and as recently as 2018 he still was energetically charged whilst playing it. It must hit a chord with him!

 

I was speaking from a people's audience point of view watching & listening and not the artist.......huge talent,more than most walking the planet.

 

He's on everybodys lips at the minute.
