Lucky enough to have seen this live in Bristol a couple of decades ago in my search-for-original-Ska/Reggae days... Favourite song ever!
But Chris…did it? Not quite on par, in my opinion. But then, if we all had the same opinion, life would be well dull.
comparisons are pointless in music and art - it triggered that song in my mind, and far more played and remembered than yours I believe, but not necessarily an accolade (you could think in terms of Agadoo, The Birdy song etc etc) - it's that simple.
