  11. Actually, I’m now struggling to remember why Manchester was the centre of the musical universe at that time. It’s a fond memory that I’m struggling to substantiate. If someone would like to remind me that would be great.

  17. This is from a film soundtrack. There are a couple of tracks on it that I absolutely love. Armand Amar is the composer. The singer here is Gombodorj Byambajargal, a Mongolian master (mistress?) of the “long song” I’m told. It’s a very short track. I can’t tell you why I like it so much. It just stirs something inside.

  18. Another track from Armand Amat’s, “Home” soundtrack is more like an aria. The singer, Sandrine Piau, has a close-your-eyes-and-just-let-it-wash-over-you voice.
