They were a much much better band than most of the music press gave them credit for... they never really seemed to reach the stadium like heights their abilities deserved. Top drummer.
Mrs GG is the bigger fan, and we are poles apart on which songs of his are our favourites. When we were much younger, Rod was touring and I wasn't overly keen to go but was unwillingly dragged along. He is one of the best live performers I've seen, and now any opportunity to see him we will take. I did similar to Mrs GG with Bryan Adams; she reluctantly went to one where Tina Turner made an unannounced guest appearance for "It's Only Love" and she's been a willing accomplice ever since (sadly Tina hasn't been back). I just need to convert her to Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa now...
