What music are you listening to ?

  1. Recently found the Centre Force app. Never knew it existed and it was pretty much my staple as a pirate radio station in the late 80s early90s (based out of Romford lol). The ads are awful as are the “shout outs” to the same old folk but the music is sensational. Across the day.

  6. Well who'd have thought...

  7. It's hip-hop... mostly. I think it's very good.

  8. Listening to this as I’ve just bought tickets to see Squeeze live in Stoke on Trent. Sold out most everywhere else. With the added bonus of Badly Drawn Boy as guest.

  10. Saw these live at Cardiff Arms park, pretty good gig. From memory it was ‘Losing My Religion’ can’t recall the year date but the support bands Cranberries, Del Amitri were pretty good too other than Hole who were epically terrible.

Possibly my fave, I didn’t particularly like LMR that much and age hasn’t improved it for me.

  14. Thanks for the memories Kris, RIP

  15. Squeeze are one of the best acts I’ve ever seen live and I’ve seen Prince, Springsteen and Metallica (all in their heyday at the time too), so I don’t say that lightly.

  17. Thanks fairly looking forward to it to be honest, we’re right at the front which is always best IME. The fact that Badly Drawn is opening is a big bonus, seen him quite a few times and he’s not ever been a let down live. Even though by his own admission he suffers from stage fright.

I’ve both turned down and watched Metallica on both their ‘Master of Puppets’ , short version is my old mate knew the guitarist in a band(Danzig) supporting Metallica back in maybe 84 and he offered us the VIP section we turned it down and went clubbing instead.

Forward to Metallica touring off the back of the remastering of MoP and took my Son to watch them and they were brilliant not the best I’ve seen but good all the same.

I especially like the fact that Metallica took some inspiration from one of my favourite local bands too.

Seen a few bands that were surprisingly good live who I haven’t particularly appreciated beforehand.
