Elton. Someone saved my life tonight. Capt fantastic & Goodbye Yellow Brick Road are two of the best pop albums ever made. Ever. Fact. You nearly had me roped & tied.......butterflies are free to fly away. Stops me thinking about shitty stuff. Cheers Elt!
I thought Jack Bruce & Chris Squire were awesome bass players. Then I heard Pastorius. Saw them in concert in Brum. Heady days, the 1970's. You had to be there. I was, and I have many happy memories and concert ticket stubs to remind me!!!!!!
In the realm of strange song titles, Zappa and Beefheart are kings. Dance of the Rock n Roll Interviewers. Hair Pie : Bake #1.
One of them was called Stacia. Made quite an impression on me as a young teenager. My right forearm was like Popeye's!
Metallica. One. I still remember the first time I heard it. Late 1980's. Brilliant. Hetfield was so cool. Still is. Bastard!
Sounds like Clapton in his Ocean Boulevard era, but also sounds like a singer I can't place at the moment (other then Geraint Watkins, I mean).... I have loads of Blues stuff........Albert King, Jack Dupree, Chester Burnett, Hooker etc etc
