Fun Boy Three. The Lunatics (Have taken over the asylum). My mate Ant was the spitting image of Terry Hall.
True story: I applied for a Civil Service job when I was nineteen. The application form asked me to confirm my British nationality. I was born in the USA so I wasn't sure. I rang to Foreign Office to confirm my status - I dialled the number I was given, I promise you - but I got Dial-a-Disk instead. Fun Boy Three, The Lunatics are Taking Over The Asylum. It was hours before I managed to successfully re-dial and speak to the FO, I kept PMSL every time I tried.
"Every night in my dream...i see you...i feel you..."titanic song... the beauty of this song is in its romantic simplicity...my favorite one...love it!!!
I cannot remove from head last two days.. Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag - YouTube it's the bass lines, the video, the theme.
On the subject of timing ... The song below came up earlier on my iTunes and I recalled the week that, back in oh, 1983, I tracked down the album Faithful, by Todd Rundgren. It was always a struggle finding Todd albums back then so I was delighted. Anyway ... The same week I bought a second-hand copy of Faithful, I had settled down to read the paper and to listen to the album. When the song below came up, I was reading - at the same time as I was listening to the track - an article in the newspaper about how some whack-job had upped and shot a bunch of random people in McDonalds. Really freaked me out (random restaurant slaughter was still a fairly new idea back then). It was many years before I could properly enjoy this track. F'd-up coincidences really mess with your head.
