Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Imola, May 26, 2012.

  1. Prodigy. Breathe.

  2. El Toro is finally listening to stuff worth listening to.

    Stressed Hippo almost always does.

  3. I listen, play and go to see all kinds of music. Depends what mood I'm in. And I certainly don't want to be pigeon holed into any particular genre. That's boredom beyond compare.

  4. Ha!

But Mr Hippo listens to all sorts of stuff - but pretty much all great.

Whereas, Mr Toro, your taste is often iffy!!

    Just saying.

    Each to his own.

Halimaw's stuff is also often interesting.

    :smile::smile::smile:

  5. the crackle of the fire

  6. Yeah, but some of us are hep cats!!!!

  7. Madonna. Frozen.

  8. Weezer. Buddy Holly.

  9. Youve obviously missed the wide range of stuff I've posted

And you're correct that Halimaws stuff is often interesting, if a tad the same. Always.

But that's ok too if you like listening just to one genre of music.

    I don't

  10. Dandy Warhols. Bohemian Like You. (Again!).

  11. Petula Clarke. Downtown.

  12. Depeche Mode. Everything Counts. Dave Gahan is jesus.

  13. Going to see them soon at the Leeds arena :upyeah:

Not sure I agree with the Jesus comparison though

  14. Glen Campbell. It's Only Make Believe. My cousin gave me this single when is was about 10. I loved it then and still do today. Good old unrequited love. Happens to us all. Happening to me now.

  15. Enjoy the concert. Let me know how it goes. As for DG being JC......

    Young man
    Different from the norm
Influenced many people to think differently

Made something of value for generations to come.....ah yes, there is the difference, DG made a DVD of an actual concert tour called 101. As for jc, many people told stories, retold and translated over the years by many others, passed down by word of mouth before the printed press existed, which then became a book which many people live their lives by 2,000 years later, and is fabrication.

DG is real. JC is not.

  16. Anita Ward. Ring my Bell. Great memories of many night clubs, and miscellaneous drunken tomfoolery!!!!!

  17. And that is why I don't agree with the comparison.

  18. And that is why I should have said......

Dave Gahan is (for people who understand that life is real) the equivalent of jesus (for people who cannot cope with real life and need an imaginary friend to help).

  19. Hmmm.

    What did I just say??
