What Next For Oap?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by ibgarrow, Mar 7, 2021.

  1. If it makes you feel young then go for it..... and dont forget that mini skirt and stilettos for evening wear ;) :D

Who was it with that song - Oldest swinger in town? ;):bucktooth:o_Oo_Oo_O

If we are lucky, we will all get old. Trying to look young while doing so doesn't really work.

We dont have to give up and die, there is lots of fun still to be had and silly things can still be done ....but is this really a cool look? I mean is it ?? ... and I am not a whole lot better I should add ;)

  4. Reading lots of the posts here concerning the Panigale R, a question for you.
If I go ahead with this, what should come with the R?
    I understand it should have:
    2 keys
    Mirror blanks
    USB map key
Plus service books and other paperwork.

as my last two insurance changes have required a Tracker of sorts, would most Rs have had one fitted?

  5. It came with mirror blanks and skyrich lithium battery charger, owners handbook and service book.
Some had the Ducati DDA data analyser iirc, but this was an accessory. 2 keys but again a tracker was an option those days, not standard.

  6. Thanks

  7. Grow up dude. What's this shit all about? "when you pass others with your ass on fire" :D :D :D

Maybe a track would suit your ego and undoubted skillset better yeah ...

Remember, if you cant look good - wear a big hat ;) Have a good day

BTW - it was Fred Wedlock with that song ...

  8. OK. Moving forward, I’m nearly at the “signing stage”, and looking at insurance changes. Currently on a multi-bike policy (MV F4 750) with MCN Insurance which expires soon. Only quote so far is from MCE around £225 fully comp. Anyone have ideas ? Or comment on MCE?

  9. i always just stick it in a couple of the comparison sites and see what they come up with. change every year and have found separate policies for bikes works best. strange really when have all family cars on a multi policy

  10. I've always found BeMoto to be pretty good.

  11. Three comparison sites have only turned up MCE! Despite many years’ NCD and Tracker fitted, in “safe postcode”...

  12. I would try BeMoto too, found them to be very good.

  13. Just go with the cheapest. They are all charlatans.

  14. Same with my 1299, they were considerably cheaper. Thats sounds cheap when you punk you're buying a 20k bike :upyeah:

  15. Imho all are good and bad. Someone doesn’t stay in business 39 plus years unless they get it right more often than not. Carole Nash used to be a dream to deal with, as did Hastings, and internet suggests they are both shite now.

Whoever you go with, expect a row when/if you claim :( make sure you declare what you need to declare, this goes a long way towards smooth claims process :upyeah:

  16. Have you tried Cornmarket. They are in Ireland but we’re always very good.

  17. Yes, and they do a deal for IAM members, so will try them. Thanks for reminding me.

  18. The only way to really judge an insurer is how they are when it’s time to claim.
I was insured with MCE on my old commuter, got knocked off by some dopey kid in a big car and MCE were horrific! More interested in how long they could get me to keep hold of the loan bike than anything else.

Good luck with the new bike mate
