Interesting, Might end up buying the front one as well, should it proove a massive pain in the backside.
I hate you all. After looking objectively at my shite paddock stands, my rear has a lean that's always irritated me. It has a detachable pole which acts as a lever, which i always trip over. My front was a cheap ebay jobbie that I had to grind the ends away to get my spindle out using it. Its so terrible, I always put spindle back in and use an axle stand for security. I bought some new Harris ones.
The only thing you should tell her is ,if anything happens to me don't sell my stuff for what I said I paid for it
Not my carpet btw. Thats the office. Oh and I am aware I put the underfork things on the wrong legs for the pic.
I also bought some Holroyd tyre warmers. theyre pretty cheap, but I dont need anything fancy. Not just yet as I am pretty new to track days.
Hello mate, could you possibly take a picture of the front stand in use? Truing to wrap my head around it, making sure it's used how I think it's used, before I buy myself a set of fron/back from Harris too. I'm especially interested in the contact interface between bike and stand. Thanks
Thanks mate, appreciate it. I've put them on order. One day my allet ill stop bleeding! But plenty smiles on the roads since I bought the bike, so I guess it's all good.
So I've ordered both stands from Harris website. They called me today to check if compatible with my bike (great service if you ask me), and said they don't think the front stand would be compatible and safe to use on my Multistrada V4 Rally. Mainly because the bottom fork casting is too flat. So they refunded me in full, and I need to find some solution for the front. I'll still buy their rear stand.
+1 for Ducati front stand I purchased the Ducati front stand for my Multi 1200 (part number: 96756907B) back in 2010. It has plastic pegs which go under the bottom fork casting. It isn't a very positive engagement and care needs to be taken to get the stand central and aligned otherwise the forks can twist off the stand when raising the wheel up. Once the wheel is on the stand it's fine. I wasn't sure it would work with the Multi V4's 19" front wheel but is it's fine. Apart from cleaning, I've used it to remove the wheel to get new tyres fitted. I've still got a Ducati rear stand for a SSSA - I'm hanging on to it just in case I decided that I don't really need a new rear stand as the main stand and front stand work for me,
Got the Ducati Stand today, 2nd hand, with the two pins in them. Works a treat. Thanks for the tip. Just the rear one now!
