What Tools Do You Carry?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Mark9, Jul 18, 2020.

  1. 55mm socket and cable ties, top box on the other hand has tyre pump, puncture repair outfit, gloves, plasters, side cutters, and mars bar.

And that’s just me going up the road.

  2. Mini compressor, stop-n-go plug kit. 2x 2.5litre fuel & 1lt oil & first aid kit. Gaffa tape, zipties what I coin my kidnap kit. Few tools & the obligatory dual front & rear wheel nut tool.

  3. Recovery card (AA, RAC, or whichever mob I'm with) and a mobile phone.

All this spanner and screwdriver crap is a waste of time. I service/repair bikes in my workshop/garage with power, lighting, radio, workbench, and motorcycle lift - plus coffee. Not kneeling in the dirt by the side of a road in the dark.

  4. I can fix a puncture in under 10 minutes, you'll be waiting 2-4 hours for recovery. A day out ruined for a couple of items. Although I carry far to much it's about helping other people for me.

  7. In America whilst riding on the hills. A suggestion on what to carry.
number 1 Glock 17 Glock 17 is extremely accurate high-capacity. one of the most reliable pistols ever made it. definitely won't break the bank I recommend you carry it on your strong side Glock 17 is one of the best guns you can have on your person for any concealed carry predicament. even on a motorcycle.

  8. Had a bad day Perry?

  9. I have it completely wrong as I'm not carrying puncture repair kits or guns. However, in the last 40 odd years of riding, I have had one puncture (in the dark on the M4) and never felt the need to carry a gun.
Clearly, I have got things wrong.

  12. It’s rare to have someone admit they got something wrong on this forum Perry, if find your admission laudable, top man.

  19. No room under the seat, but carry puncture repair kit, fuses and a couple of Allen keys in the backpack.
Anything else I leave to the warranty to sort out.
