  3. Funny you should say that ..... I've just found these runty yins ,
while looking for something else ..... as usual .

Don't know where they came from ( most likely xmas , years ago )
but I know where they're going

Never heard of any of them.... I'm sure that's not going to affect the flavour though !

  4. I found this bottle of corona-cure in the shed the other day, I think I remember who gave it to me one Christmas a few years ago - anyway quite local and was very nice :D IMG_20200415_203520.jpg

  5. That one looks very familiar to me .....

At one time I did a hell of lot of travel for work , and I often used to see unfamiliar malts in duty-free , on offer .

So I'd buy them .... happier days ...:)

  6. The distillery is fairly local to me (about 25 miles), when I got the bottle it was even more local (10 miles over the Suie hill - pushbikers may be familiar with this implement of torture). I was pleasantly surprised with it, on a par with Aberlour but not quite there - recommended :upyeah:

  9. Yes we are. The authorities euphemistically call it ' social distancing', to me it is a soft lockdown. You can move around without any problem, but there's no public transport and no taxis, no shops, restaurants or bars are open other than food and medicine. The online sellers are operating as are delivery services, but that's it. Nearly all businesses are closed and the people that can are working from home. I've been working from home since the start of April not sure when this will end as they keep shifting the end date. Fortunately as I am in the consulting business i can manage 90 % of what I do from home and the remaining 10 % is not critical.

  10. Same here in Ireland. It would seem most of the world is the same, except if you live in Belorus or Turkmenistan :( Stay safe and keep enjoying the odd drop:upyeah:

  17. Was it not Irish monks who brought whisky making techniques to Scotland ?

    I'm sure I read that somewhere ....
.... maybe in "The Ladybird Book of Alcoholic Drinks " ?

    :)
