What Winter Project For @expat Jack

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by RC1, Aug 28, 2020.

  1. That is so wrong (kitchen!!).
The bike is nice, probably too nice like you say. But, that’s the issue I have every time. It’s one of the reasons I sold the 996 that was meant to be a cheap tracker. It just got too nice and was too valuable to lob up the road.
This one is much more common a bike. Spares are comparatively cheap and fairly readily available and it’s cheap enough not to have to worry about.
Then, when I get bored with it I can still sell for a profit (hence MoT etc) and upgrade to a bigger track bike.
    Time will tell :joy:

  10. Today is all about T’s.

Tail piece, 675 stickers and tyres off the 996 done.

Still waiting on the caliper dowel for front brake. Frustrating.

    Recycling bins for free.

  16. Brake part fitted. Out for a ride. It’s a very nice bike now, handles spot on for the road and no whitelining now with ‘new’ tyres. Throttle response much better now adjusted. Shift light at 14000 rpm. :D
Still can’t believe someone would not bother with the brake part!

So, ready to MoT. Just a couple of cosmetic things to sort and I will post pics once it’s ready.
Then prep for track starts.
