Zeus, I've done it before and even though I say it myself, I am not too bad at applying the tape 'free-hand'. Now watch for all of the smutty remarks that will undoubtedly emanate from this bunch 'on-ere'!
Sorted, I've got some from Awesome Graphics, Grant Appleby, the previous guys I got some from. Not lairy or 'in your face', so with luck, not too offensive
I've not heard the term 'rim tape' since I escaped prison... I mean since my CBR days back in 2002!!! To the OP, I think they are called wheel decals now unless you still want to install the reflective tape all the way round. I did actually fit some to my old Hyperstrada as I do think black wheels can look a bit boring... But I went for the OEM look with the Multi.
Not sure exact ref, dealer had em done before I picked up the bike. Subtle gold to kind of tie into engine cases. I can ask him if anyone wants specific ref.
I really like the gold wheels, but if it came like that standard and someone painted them black, I’d really like them too!
I actually installed it in January time so it was pretty cold in the garage where I did so used a hairdryer to warm up the wheel and the decal. It comes as a whole piece so the main thing is getting it where you want it but was able to reposition a few times before deciding to go for it. I used a plastic applicator that I got with the Invisframe kit I installed on my e-MTB which was quite useful for removing any bubbles. Quite surprisingly they seemed pretty easy to do as I rushed them a little doing then in an evening when it was dark and cold! The wheel decals were definitely easier than the fairing decals to install!
