I regularly use the GoPro sucker mount on the tank and it's never come off yet. I do always tether it just in case though: I also have the sticky mounts on the nose if filming someone in front and the tail if my ass is looking sexy but those vids are for the ladies only, as mentioned above they come off with a bit of heat no problem. Quite a few tracks dont let you mount on the tank anymore as well.
