30 mph & National speed limits will be indicated by one large sign only when entering the change of speed limit, 40 mph & 50 mph speed limits have the benefit of small repeater signs. Usually in built up areas, no repeaters = 30 mph limit.
This is usually the point where the discussion tends to degrade into an argument....the point I was making was about the tactics used by said police forces on collection of fines and enforcement....Its starting to digress as the original statement was one of small plates..
What you actually said, as above, is that the speed limit was changed without the signs being changed. What you haven't explained is how, exactly, that is possible.
