Although he has some stock in for a while, he does seem to shift some - I think he works on the premise that people with money would rather peruse and buy from his posh shop. For some people an extra £10K is nothing for the convenience. I think he sells private bikes for a margin too.
Yeah, he has some stunning stuff. Zero mile RC30s etc. A lottery win and I'd relieve him of most of his stock, sod the money. A friend of mine was at the races last year and the guy from Sheffield called him (He has a Desmo with 40 miles on it) He wanted to buy the bike and was perfectly pleasant about it. My friend put an advert on Pistonheads about a year earlier on a whim, but decided to keep the bike in the end. This was the only place it has ever been advertised, so the guy does some digging.
D16RR Not sure i would want to ride one on the road 1098R is a better bike for the road i know your not a lover of 1098R But (My personel opinion) if you try both bikes back to back on the road you will prefer the 1098R I'm sure but the choice is yours sir Enjoy
I'm lucky enough to have had a blast on one back to back with my S... The difference is night and day. Defo more than a Pani in a frock.
My ability doesn't even allow me to use abase 1199 so I'll literally just be looking at the SL rather than getting any where near its potential. I'd guess those small changes it has would be lost on me.
TBH who has the ability to ride any of these to their full potential if you could you could expect a fat contract from Bolonga ... For me it's the pleasure of purely having something of such beauty in ones possession for a said time... I can't afford a Spitfire or a Ferrari, yet, however I'm very fortunate to Potentially have the company of a Super Stallion from Bologna.. To me, 1 out of 3 ain't bad...
