OK, just to put this one to bed. I went for the Dianese Mike Pelle in brown. It wasn't on my list but tried it on and it is pretty much exactly what I was imagining when I started looking. Not too thick, subtle logos, light and flexible armour that is practically invisible, really soft and supple leather, superb finish and, unlike me, should age well.
