Biketec work fine - have a few friends who used them but don't last as long or look after them. My first ever pair were Capit as they were the only ones at the time who did a heatproof layer to avoid burning if too close to the exhaust - ie most ducati's. One other reason why i stayed with Capit. However i can not say if others will melt or not as it was what i was advised and never tried other brands.
