Working for one day if the parts come for the lifting deck platform in the trailer, last of an order for 140 double deck trailers.
I’m not sure. We are now called Sensia - but still owned by Rockwell. On site most places still call us ICS though.
definitely not. If I get called it will be because things have gone horribly wrong and will probably have to go to the platform. Much rather be at home.
One day over christmas. Waste and renewables sector. Only been working 4 days p/w for the last 5 years. Since the covid farce I've been WFH 3 days p/w, feels like being semi-retired at times. Was planning on retiring this year, but covid/Brexit fucked those (travel/moving) plans.
I work in tech retail for an online gaming platform. Working right through Christmas Eve but then off till the 4th. I should try and avoid the emails from my US and Japanese suppliers but I will fail
I used to do the same job in the U.K. One thing I hated to death was being on call out… Couldn’t get pissed or go anywhere. Awful!!
No. No, it really isn’t. They can ram call out. I always tried to worm out of it. Usually the young lads with young families would do my stint. Under the thumb and needing cash for nappies and over did it with the mortgage. Ha!
years ago when I worked in network infrastructure on the tools we had a call out rota. Used to take calls in nightclubs and everything
I am sure if my step mother could answer she would disagree, but she can’t answer as she passed from Covid, it’s good that the vast majority have relatively light symptoms but it is also a killer.
As part of a Covid response volunteer rider I get to ride a lot delivering Oxy meters to people on behalf of 111 etc, also helping at homeless vaccine pop ups etc. Takes me to very interesting places!!
