  1. yes, good programme, looking forward to tonites preview prog :grinning:, ( met lots of TT bound bikes on the Portsmouth ferry last week end )

  3. watched it ( fleetingly ) again this morn but did not notice any black eye.

  4. perhaps i need a new telly then

  5. there is another prog on tonite at 10, dont know if it is same presenters but if it is then we can all see.. ( maybe they got the Pan stick out )

  6. Its not just because im a kiwi , but, i would love to see bruce win the senior. He's most deserving . 47 and fast as fuck, won everything but and never spouts his mouth off or nothing. he gets up with his race head on or he doesn't but he never blames anyone else. cool as fuck and older than me!!! started racing the tt at the same time as mc pint and same as him has never embarrassed himself. leg end. that and what a bike to take round there!!! anyone see that coming? it may turn to be like the norton but who gives a toss on that front.. bikes like this and the norton rotary of old add another dimension and more to bang on about!!!!

  11. Seconded!
and a member of the NZ order of Merit too.
Hope his ankle is alright (and that he doesn't have to pay for crash damage to the RCV...)

My theory about that slowing down btw - they are worried about cooling. A mate raced a Kawa in the Manx for many years and was known as the "green grenade" one year as it ate 4(?) engines. They'd turned the wick up that little bit too much and it ate #2 and #3 cyls. It would explain why he was slowing down for the last section of the course (over the mountain, thin air and longest WFO section).

I think I may need to revise my opinions and add a Dunlop win in somewhere.
also, what was McGuiness doing 3rd fastest on the 600? I've never thought he had the, errr, physique for them...

  12. someone's woken up on the right side of bed this morning :astonished::astonished::astonished: holy crap as impressive as it gets

  13. Just read that Michael Dunlop got disqualified from the 600 race due to engine mods. Statement stressed embarrassment from the engine supplier.

  14. Hands up who wants to go and tell Mr Dunlop .
Not his fault so I imagine he wont be overly impressed and the money who loses from second place will come from someone I guess. And so it should .
No one was catching Hutchy yesterday. He was on it and that was that . Hillier said it, the top two are just making the rest look silly .
Interesting to see the Sulby speeds . Whilst McG and Conor may be trying the superstock speeds of the Honda's are pretty much 10 mph down on the BM's and if you put that across the track it's never goiug to happen for them.
Sweet handling is one thing .

  15. I think it might be only the lightweight that doesn't go to one of them. The Honda superstock has been way down on speed for a couple of years, but it looks like the superbike has gone past the point where McGuiness' skill and experience can keep it on top. If Bruce is still feeling battered come Friday, do you think McGuinnes will pop over and ask to borrow his RCV?

That engine was from Martrain (would have been Dan Kneen's team). OK, it was legal when they built it, but unless they just took the one from the back of the shed what would have happened when Dan raced?

  16. No.
Its a definite oversight but the engine builder so as far as the engine builder is concerned it's an ok , refreshed ready to go engine regardless of who's the rider.

As for the RCV , it's a Padgett bike and McG is employed by Honda . Yes they use the same bikes but no they are different companies.
Yes McG gets on great with Clive but do you know what, I bet they are looking at two options. The first is they tell Bruce to ease off and get better for Friday or the second option is they pull it.

What do I know though !

  17. I'm sure Mr Honda could ask Mr Padgett nicely to lend it if he ever wanted any race bikes ever again. Don't forget they moved Connor from one team to another pre-TT...

  18. Talking of Whit, did anyone notice the shape of his ankles when he was doing that bit at Peel? His ankles look as they've had some serious fractures throughout his racing career.

  19. I know he had a bad crash at brno dont know if it was his ankles but hes had all sorts of health problems hasn't he the poor sod. Didn't he have cancer too?
