1200 Enduro Who Has An Enduro

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by ColT, May 15, 2016.

  1. Great off roading in Wales, are you planning to take the bike off road while there, be good to see some pics

  2. I've wreaked brandnew tyres in a slate quarry over in Wales. The only mild off-roading I'll be doing is hardened farm tracks frankly. I'll throw lots of images on a seperate thread once my final enduro package arrives & is added plus two lunasee hi-vis wheel kits & some other goodies. Then it will be fully dressed & ready for sharing & scaring the birmingham bassets pole collective.

  4. Can't fathom it but I was waiting till my latest refill to try for a high mileage run. However yesterday after bombing about I waited till the amber tank range turned to red/flashing red & kept on going. Filled it up with 33.17litres then discovered I'd managed 371 miles & a fair bit of it was hooning about. I'm not joking when I say I was slack jaw'd. This latest fill up had my range showing 360 miles & I'll be doing my darnest to get over 400 miles with achingly steady riding on the cards for this whole tank of fuel. I assume that the range will drop considerably with the race-exhaust system & up-map so its now or never to find out its best possible distance.

  9. Now slightly getting frustrated with ducati over the enduro package kit. As my bike is coming together nicely from my ultimate dream kit list.

  10. I am out on a test ride on an enduro and must say I like it!
It doesn't drop into corners as easy as my dvt S but I like that. The pegs are better and I can stand up straight and reach the bars without leaning down. The pegs are bigger making it easier to stand as well.
Just wish it had a single sided swing arm, but I could live with that!

  11. It's a bike that definitely wants to corner like an Enduro (pushing the bars in opposite lock to push the bike over whilst you remain more upright) rather than sports bike method of getting off the seat and pulling it over. it also makes it very stable and forgiving and once you get used to that method it flips about on the S's like a dream. On my old 2010 I found I could use either method and would use enduro on the roads and traditional off the seat on tack days and it took a while for me to get out of the habit.

I agree about the pegs. really good design and have also taken out the rubber parts to make it more stable and gives me an extra centimetre or two between my arse and the pegs for confront.

you also get used to the size after few trips out and it's very easy to handle. i put the pre-load down to 1 and softened the suspension in one up urban mode to make it easy to work with getting on and off ferries etc.

  12. If I didn't have my DVT S already I'd be on the enduro!
They said did I want to trade mine in but at 4800miles and 1 year I declined.
Maybe at 2 years when the warranty runs out!!
