Best way to get a feel for what suspension changes do is to dial each setting ( one by one) all the way. Go ride the bike. Then dial it all the way out. Go ride the bike. See what the difference is. (Write down the current settings before you start.) Do that for rebound and compression front and rear. It will give you an idea of how changing each setting changes the bike. Ultimately though there will be a balance needed between all settings.
Yeah - but ive tried that....make a small change and it does (in my perception) nothing....I must be a shit rider I think...although taking it on board im gonna try to get out (pad and pen) and have a go - hopefully there'll be a little bit of warm weather left yet...
Make a big change by dialling it all the way in and go ride it. The dial it all the way out and notice the difference. Take it easy to start with mind.
or just pay a professional a measly £50 and get it sorted for you to your spec..................the thing is for the road it will be such a huge compromise and wildly different for the track!
D8mok you already know the answer. You gotta go faster, but us mere mortals aren't built to get the most from a modern bike on the road so just be happy you're going faster and have a bigger safty net than before. That's a win win situation in my book.
