  2. Spacers fitted, nob head here had them round the wrong way.....don't ask

On a side note I started to remove the front mud guard to fit an extender. The top screws on both sides just snapped off with hardly any force applied. Both bottom screws were ok, so that's another job now to drill them out .

Does this look the correct part? It doesn't to me but after the spacers debacle I'm double checking...

All good fun I suppose and hopefully I can try out the spacerscat the weekend

  3. I'm fairly sure thats supposed to fit with the bit you've removed and make the mudguard even longer still.......

  4. Ah right, ok then I must be missing the rest of my front fender as I haven't removed anything!

I thought it was wierd to have no real protection for the radiator and oil cooler

  5. Just to update.....

Both spacers and wind deflector have made a decent improvement so thanks everyone. I did try with the spacers and without the wind deflector but quickly put it back on!!

I could tour fine on it now, but I have ordered the puig sport/racing screen to try now as I will need something shorter for the hot summer days (as if !)

  6. Item #8 on this parts diagram is what you're missing. If I recall it doesn't come fitted to the bike and some dealers don't bother attaching it. It's a bit wobbly to start with so adding an extender to it is going to probably make that worse. Buying the OEM part isn't too extortionate at a touch under £13 ext VAT from your friendly Ducati dealer. That plus an Evotech front cylinder head guard and radiator guard should be all you need.

  7. I had no end of issues finding a solution, 5 screens, all wit and without the iconic spacers, finally settled on my own spacers which lowered the PP (best for me) screen ..... IMG_9973.JPG

  8. This was still a little noisy, so fitted the small add on screen mentioned above, tried at different angles, before finally settling with this setup, for me it works best and keeps all the turbulent wind off my helmet (arai better than shoei btw)... yes it looks strange but it allows me to keep the Multi rather than sell it.

  9. Update:
I put the Puig sport screen on with the iconic spacers and was really please with the way it looked. But out on the road it was no better than my last combo of standard screen, spacers and deflector.

I quickly turned back and added the deflector onto the sport screen and this was in the same ball park as using the standard screen and deflector.

So to conclude, for me anyway, I much prefer the look of the puig over standard so will use that unless I think I'll need the extra weather protection of the standard screen.
