Thanks Andy , the 998 throttle body uses shower injectors , would I get these or just use the 748 setup? ITs raining out (cant check the bike), worse case , if the air box is impeded by the frame ; what is involved , cutting or welding, both?
the 999 injector holders fit on to the 998 throttle bodies so they are easily available 748 stuff too small and different i would modify a airbox and make good with fibreglass or carbon fibre..it will only be a small amount it might even not require any thing
Ah ok , So I need 999 injectors too ? Very confused , how a 748s ECU and loom will run the bike , apart from the map, I doubt the Loom plugs are Plug and play
actually id use 1198 pink injectors....but the crappy yellow 999 ones will do. loom options 1 stick with the 748 electrics coils chip battery dash wooden wheels etc 2 run a 999 loom dash ecu stick coils move battery 3 run a 1098 loom dash ecu stick coils move battery 4 run a 1198 loom dash ecu stick coils dtc dda and remove all the unecessary wires that are not require for the track 5 get a bespoke loom without all the crap run a singing and dancing dash, microtec ecu traction control wheelie control quick shifter the fact is you are moving into the whatever you want to world...anything works with anything, its just how much work you want to do.
the 748 electrics coils chip battery dash, run 1198 pink injectors with the 999 injector holders You can map the 748 ecu or do I need a fuel commander ? 1198 pink injector loom plugs the same across the looms , will I need to wire in 1198 loom plugs?
if your sticking with the 748 loom id go power commander easier to remap for the different engine the pink and yellow injectors have the same wire plug which IIRC is different to your originals

@andyb , the H belt cover with the intake(?), I've seen them before, do they not risk crap getting into your belts area? Or is there a mesh or something? Whats the point as well?
Was talking to Salvatore who has his installed with a 999s engine What is putting me off is the Electrics Electrics ECU Marelli 5am 999 S remapped by a specialist for 12-hole injectors Electric system used 1098 electrical system and dashboard, but you can also use 999 system and Translogic instrumentation, just make change the key coding, excluding in order to use any type of dashboard! (I have a Translogic setup at present) 998 throttle bodies For the 998 throttle bodies you can use them, but you have to adapt the toggle 999 to electronic regulation through a self-built adapter!
