1199 Worried About Buying A Used 1199

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by ibb1, Jun 19, 2014.

  1. cheeky...can think of a few on the old ship that can show a clean set of heals to a well ridden Panigale at anything short of warp speed 6 ;)

you can get the forks sorted for about £500 anyway, you don't need fancy kit just springs, valve kit possibly and it set up for you

    go for it :upyeah:

  11. Few new bikes out next year updated pani av been told . Yam r1 and new bmw

  12. The BMW is a great bike but lets be honest their going to cock up the front end and make it look like it belongs on the sunshine bus again.

  13. The R1s were great looks wise until they went to the crossplane crank so I do have hope for them, my favourite R1 has still got to be the original in Red/White though.

  14. I've got a 2003 Yamaha R1 5pw and really love it. It's not so intuitive to ride as 'easy' bikes like the Fireblades or Daytona 675 but I find the times when I come back to the R1 after riding those bikes, the R1 seems to get better and better. It really benefits from the rider improving so it's a really satisfying bike to come back to each time I've been on something else.

  15. Had a bit of a change of heart and gone for an RSV4 in the end.

  16. Ahh shame, would be interested to hear your experience of the RSV4 once you get it.

  17. First impressions of it are really good, the handling is perfect, it sounds oddly more like a twin than a 4.
I've not had a Pani to compare it to but can to the S1000RR and out of those two I prefer it, it really is a very well Set up bike, the engine is sweet and powerful although I would say you can notice that it's down on power to the S1000RR(let's face it what isn't though) but what it lacks there it more than makes up for with it's great handling.
Got to admit the Pani still has it beaten on looks, although it's a big improvement from the BMW.
