1200 Would You Buy Multistrada Again?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by GlennT, Apr 9, 2016.

  1. Yes I bought another multi too... My original was a 1200 ABS 10 REG had the bike couple of years and loved it to bits... Had probs with fuel sender (sounds familiar) and eventually the gearbox started missing g few gears... So traded in for repsol fireblade.... The biggest issue for me with the original Multi was the tall (for mee) *seat height..... Bit of a short arse lol no fun with camber of road and or pillion getting on and off... I was top toes at best!!! After Blade got a new Hyperstrada which I also loved... It felt... Size wise at least like for me a more manageable multi... At time I thought a 1000 cc version of it and physically sized between the hyper and the muli..wkuld be perfect .... After 18 months put that in for Tuono v4 which I also loved but boy could that thing drink fuel..... 28 mpg...... Did a deal a month ago trading in aprilia tuono v4 for a 1200 DVT....... What a revelation... MASSIVE for me is the lowered seat height makes bike seem lighter and much more manageable too....so far averaging 55 mpg or so so well impressed and I don't always hang about.. Do agree with others that original one felt more of an animal engine wise whereas this seems softer until 6000rpm on clock then it feels it's probably quicker than the original.. But it is a more deceptive bike...its going in in three weeks for fuel sensor and maybe check factory grips as even in summer with Sumner gloves and on hot..Doesn't really feel like it!!!!all in all I feel the DVT is an amazing all round bike loving the extra gadgets like cruise Control...in last 6 years or so I've changed bikes a number of times but my original multi was the only bike I wished I hadn't got rid of.!!!!!!this one I dont think I'd want to part with
