  1. As above, CJS just map std ecu, it costs about same as a power commander and custom tune tho so you dont save money but you may get a better result

  2. You will get a better result because he optimises the ignition map as well as the fuel map for each cylinder.

  3. It's a modified cordona strain gauge one mate. (I believe looking at the paperwork and packaging)
Tuneboy use the O2 sensor factory plug and then do something with the software to make it all happen.

  4. Basically as I read it. ( I may be wrong so correct me! )
Power commander is a piggy back in line device. This has a lot of limitations.
Whereas your tune boy and CJS tunes modify your standard ECU and finesse the maps. I'm told that such crappy standard factory maps are down to EU rules for emissions etc.
No extra hardware is required for the standard ECU retune as its software related. Whereas power commander needs the HW device installed ( at this time it's not available for the MTS1200 2103-14 )

  5. I have to say, the BHP figures are a bit disappointing. I bought my bike with the understanding it had somewhere near 150BHP it even says on the dash 150. ok a few hp drop is expected but some on here are showing a 15hp+ drop.
This is tantamount to False advertising isn't it?

  6. You get that its 150 at the crank, right? You'll lose 10-20% at the wheel depending on tyres, chain, loads of other small power sapping bits

  7. I don't think ducati mention 150 brake horse power (bhp) anywhere, they state 150 hp. There is a big difference. Hp is measured directly from the output of the engine (crank) and bhp (normally) at the wheel.

As bradders said, you lose a lot of power driving the gearbox and drive to the back wheel.

  8. As others have said, measurements by Dyno's are at the back wheel.
Don't know how much dyno work you've done over the years, but the Multistrada is on par with other makes I've had worked on. ZXR750 etc, always 10% down on printed, if not more (chain drive).
Quick tip for anyone booking a Dyno day....put on the crappiest tyre you have and expect it to be illegal by the end of the day....DO NOT fit a brand new tyre, as dynos....eat tyres like a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
