Not sure if this has been covered, but I have the old style DP stand with a pin for the 848. Ducati told me that I cant get a replacement pin for the stand to fit my Panigale (40mm O/D), so I took a punt on the one sold by R&G and it paid off...An absolutely perfect replacement fit with just one circlip to contend with. this is what i read from the 1199 forum so make of it what you will
Ducati made the rear axle thicker on later 2007 onward bikes as there was a problem with it shearing off, I had the same problem take the pin to any engineering shop and have it machined down like I did will cost the price of a drink and only take a few minutes.
Just a update on the paddock stand pin although I would have bought your wrong size pin I took the plunge and ordered the r and g pin 2 which is for the new multi and newer 1098 , took the old pin from my ducati performance stand and yep the r and g is a perfect fit so for £20 delivered paddock stand is back in use
Happy days. That's a good bit f info for people in the same position. I meant to get back to you but I took my pin down to a local engineering shop a couple of days ago and they turned it down by 2mm for £4. Fits like a dream now.
