Be interesting if it’s pissing down and -10 at donny in a few weeks (as is tradition etc) and how much that might bring them back together a bit. I honestly think it’s coming home this year tho
I agree. Bautista is really in the groove. Christ, he didn’t even look like he was breaking a sweat compared to the others.
Hopefully Bautista will hold on this time. At least they now seem to mention a little he is riding bikes it well and it’s not just the straight line power
Agreed. I for one think that a further rev limit would be unfair. Of course I like to see Ducati’s winning (goes without saying really) but if you took Bautista out of the picture this year the rest of the grid seem extremely well balanced in terms of all round performance. It’s not like the top five spots of the grid are always Ducati, far from it. Without Bautista, the rest are not particularly outstanding at any race meeting. Even with his very similar diminutive size, Rinaldi is normally a top ten finisher with exactly the same package and backup as Bautista. Like the commentators remarked, I hope they don’t penalise the manufacturer for the rider being the deciding factor. Or do they penalise Bautista alone? Feels a bit knee jerk considering past exploits.
Rea has had a bike built around him for years. If you do straight line top end runs I bet there’s nothing in the 3 makes. Or Honda, who seem to have an equally fast bike to ducati. But it’s what the team do with gear ratios etc and how they tune bike/chassis to what the rider wants that’s likely more why the ducati is faster: that build suits Bautista
And bautistas build suits the ducati, especially in those conditions prob why Redding and Chazley ultimately failed on it, the fat bastids.
And if I was John McPhee I’d be on my hands and knees begging ducati for a go on their v2 in ssp next year. Sod a shit moto 2 ride and bulega is gash.
